We were excited to host our 1st annual Gold Star Family picnic in Colorado on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Clement Park. We had close to 65 military children and families attending. This is one of our favorite programs. It is an honor to bring surviving families together so they can continue to heal and be with each other. These families are often never surrounded by families that have experienced the kind of loss unique to Gold Star families.

We were able to work with Lisa Cooley, Survivor Outreach Coordinator for the Denver Metro Area to host this picnic on behalf of Gold Star Families and other very special military families at Clement Park in Littleton, Colorado. Thanks to Aqua Terra Catering for providing an incredible menu and for handling all the details with our food! The magician and balloon maker was the star of the day and made sure all the kids were entertained. Special thanks to Jeff, Chantelle, Jim Konrad, Cynthia Ventura-Lipper, and friends from back yonder for coming out and volunteering to help.
