HELPING HANDS FOR FREEDOM AND THE N2 BLOCK PARTY ON HIGH STREET

Posted October 13, 2015 by Jaclyn Clark
As part of our commitment to the communities of n2Publishing, we organize and spearhead a number of social events that allows residents to gather, enjoy the hospitality of our various sponsors, and have a time to fellowship with their neighbors.  On Thursday, September 17th, however, we involved ourselves in something that was not only social in nature, but also heartfelt, as we participated in and promoted the N2 Block Party on High Street as a way of raising funds to help HELPING HANDS FOR FREEDOM.
To best understand this most worthwhile endeavor, one need only consider the following blurb from their website:
Helping Hands for Freedom has a primary mission of supporting the surviving spouse and children of a veteran who doesn’t return from the conflict. It can take months for a family to receive the death benefit and often this also results in a relocation from base housing. HHFF steps in to help with basic expenses during their time of transition. We assist those severely wounded who need equipment or housing modifications as they adjust to new life circumstances. We also help the children with life enrichment programs, mentorship and counseling.
N2 Publishing and Life Around The Lakes were not alone in their desire to help the dependents of our fallen heroes.  While there were a number of other sponsors, two major ones were RJJ BOXING and SCHUMACHER MERCEDES.  Additionally, we would like to give thanks to Lux Rides, Bradford Jones Photography, Tom’s thumb, Arizona Brain & Spine Center, Dr. terra NMD, Nice & Jerry Micetic Realtors HomeSmart, John Barile Relator, AZ Royal, Omni Consultants, Land & Home Financial Services, La Casona Custom Wood Furniture, Maria Saint Louis Psychic/Medium, Arizona Going Green, American Cancer Society, Master Tech Financial, Vermillion Events, Standard eco Heating & Cooling, It Works-Maria Rodriguez, North Mountain Brewing Company, Art of Music.
Those who attended were entertained by the rock band Rock Lobster and, as well as sampling various culinary delights provided by many of the businesses present, were able to participate in a silent auction, and also buy tickets for  raffle items associated with the movie HOFFA, which were donated of Art of Music.  If you were unable to attend the Block Party, but would like to have a part in assisting HELPING HANDS FOR FREEDOM, you can do so by contacting them via one of the following venues:
