MILITARY ORGANIZATION PARTNERS WITH INDIANA CASINO, BOXING CHAMPS TO HONOR MILITARY FAMILIES

SHELBYVILLE -- Helping Hands For Freedom, an organization that aids military families dealing with death, deployment and loss, is partnering with Indiana Grand Racing and Casino and five former heavyweight boxing champions for a benefit for military families.

On March 11, HHFF and Indiana Grand Racing and Casino will be putting on a Heroes Tribute Variety Show. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. The show will consist of comedians Keith Bender and Andrew Frank, along with special musical guest Exile.

In addition, former heavyweight boxing champions Ray Mercer, Chris Byrd, James Toney, Riddick Bowe and Indiana's own Lamon Brewster will be joining forces to raise awareness for military families. The heavyweight champions will be available for a meet and greet and autograph sessions.

Tickets are $25.

On March 12, Indiana Grand Racing and Casino will play host to the annual Helping Hands For Freedom Heroes Gala.

The event is the biggest single day event Helping Hands For Freedom has and honors various citizens and wounded military personnel.

In addition to military presentations, the evening features both a silent and live auction, food and drinks and musical performances. The five former heavyweight champions will also be in attendance for meet and greet and autograph opportunities.

Tickets are $100 each or a VIP table can be purchased for $1,000. Doors open at 5:30 for the Heroes Gala.
