May 14, 2015 - The Colorado team is coming together! Malik Jackson of the Denver Broncos joined Helping Hands for Freedom and 34 guests to discuss how we can best serve military children of the fallen wounded and deployed. As a Gold Star Dad, Paul McShan shared why it is important for the private sector to work with charities making a difference in the military community.

As HHFF begins serving Colorado military families, five programs were discussed and through the generosity of the people attending, two of the programs received a commitment of the necessary funds to run the programs. In addition, we were able to announce that Veterans Passport to Hope has chosen HHFF to be a recipient of $7,500 grant to fund the youth sports and education camp that Malik Jackson is going to host this summer.

Gary Tedder, Kelley, Matt and Tia from Southern Hospitality BBQ rolled out the red carpet and treated our guest to a quality evening in the private owner’s room featuring plenty of food and drinks. If you have not been there yet, it is a must visit…. The best smoked BBQ in town!!!
